Turf

Coastal Landscapes only uses the best quality local turf suppliers. We ensure that the ground is prepared with quality topsoil and each load of turf rolls is in a healthy condition with no weeds or pests before laying out. Once we thoroughly water in your luscious new lawn, the rest is up to you.

Water your new turf at least 2 to 3 times a day for the first few weeks until the ground is damp but not saturated to the point of causing runoff. You don’t want the soil to dry out as this can stress the new turf and cause patches to thin out, brown off or die. Hand watering with a hose for 30-45 minutes or leaving on a sprinkler morning and evening is ideal.

We recommend that within 6 to 12 months of laying a new lawn, to get back in contact with us for a fertilise and top dress.

All lawns require your attention for mowing, weeding and pest control to ensure they stay healthy and soft once established.

Gardens and Plants

As with turf, Coastal Landscapes only uses top quality local plant nurseries and wholesalers. Each new plant will be installed in suitably prepared soil, mulched and watered in.

All new plants will require ongoing watering by you to help their roots establish in the soil. The frequency and amount of water required will vary depending on the type of plants.

Most native plants will need watering once or twice a week for approximately 3 weeks until established. You can check to feel if the soil is damp by pushing aside some mulch and looking at the base of the plant. The soil should be damp but not pooling. Tropical plants and showy flowering plants like roses and gardenias will require extra watering until established and depending on the time of year, may require regular ongoing watering.

All gardens require your attention for watering, weeding and re-mulching. We love seeing photos of your gardens once they have grown in and flourished.
